Cortina’s best-selling pure aniline leather was inspired by the naturally rugged, wild, and varied landscapes of the U.S.’s distinctive Utah state. We make Utah on the highest-grade bull hides (top 3%) for a heavy-weight and more rugged, textural feel than most distressed upholstery leathers, and the full-grain pure aniline process yields exceptional depth, beauty, and softness. We then treat Utah with a paraffin wax for water resistance, and dry mill the hides for a cozy, distressed look with a slight sheen that, like its namesake, causes people to stop and appreciate. Utah displays a medium tonal contrast between the pattern’s high and low areas. Celebrating the natural markings of this organic genuine leather, Cortina’s Utah collection will patina richly over time.
